Winning Recipe • Royalty Pecan Bake Show
This recipe was provided by Opal Lerma. Her dish won 1st place in our “Miscellaneous” division.
- 2 Cups sugar
- 1 Cup light corn syrup
- 1 Cup water
- ¾ Stick butter
- 1 Tablespoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon baking soda
- 1 Cup chopped Royalty Pecans
- 1 Cup shredded coconut
Prepare cookie sheets with butter.
In a large saucepan add sugar, water, syrup, and salt.
Cook on low heat for about 30 minutes. Test a small amount in a cup of water to see if it forms a crackle stage.
Add pecans, coconut, and baking soda, then pour mixture onto pans.
