Recipe of the Month: March 2012

In honor of our special gourmet dinner this month featuring Sandy Oaks Olive Orchard, we’ve decided to share a delicious recipe that also includes olives. 


Olive Pecan Bruschetta


  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped Royalty Pecans
  • 1/2 cup chopped olives
  • 1 loaf French bread, sliced


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Stir together butter and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy. Mix in garlic powder and onion powder. Stir in cheese, olives and pecans.

Spread mixture evenly over bread slices and place on a baking sheet.

Bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

Increase heat to broil, and cook until cheese melts and bread is golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes.
