Winning Recipe | Royalty Pecan Bake Show

This recipe was provided by Ninfa Lerma. Her dish won 1st place in our “Cakes” division.


  • 1 Box Duncan Hines chocolate cupcakes
  • 2 Cups shredded coconut
  • ½ Stick butter
  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 Egg yolks
  • 1 Cup Royalty Pecans


Prepare boxed Duncan Hines cupcakes as directed.

Prepare the homemade frosting by combining coconut, butter, sugar, vanilla, egg yolks, and pecans in a sauce pan. Cook over medium to low heat until at desired consistency.
