Recipe: Cinnapecan Apple Cream Pie

Winning Recipe | Special Ingredient Challenge

This was a tough category, due to many creative entries. Even though we like to promote the healthier side of pecans, we just couldn’t resist this decadent dessert that is fully infused with both natural pecans and our popular Cinnapecans. It also happens to be wheat-free and gluten-free. This recipe was submitted by Karen in California.

Pecan Crust


2 cups Royalty Pecans® finely chopped
2 teaspoons melted butter
½ teaspoon vanilla
4 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon water


Blend ingredients until mixture begins falling off the sides of the bowl. Press into 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 325° for 20 minutes

Pie Filling


1 cup whipping cream
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ cup confectioners’ sugar
1 cup Royalty Pecan Farms® Apple Pie Jam
1 cup Royalty Pecan Farms® Cinnapecans


Combine cream and vanilla in a mixer on medium speed while gradually adding powdered sugar. Beat until firm peaks form. Gently fold the Apple Pie Jam into the cream mixture. Spoon the mixture into the pie crust. Organize Cinnapecans on top of the pie and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
